There are two main categories in the iPodLinux wiki, Downloads and Documentation. These are further divided into subcategories.
- Downloads - Downloadable things
- Applications - standalone applications for iPodLinux
- Bootloaders - programs that allow the iPod to run other operating systems
- Emulators - programs for iPodLinux for emulating other platforms
- Launchers - programs that launch other programs
- Libraries - software libraries ported to iPodLinux
- Podzillae - various podzillae
- Podzilla (Legacy) - the official legacy version of podzilla
- Podzilla 2 - the new modular version of podzilla
- Podzilla Modules - modules for podzilla2
- Podzilla Schemes - schemes for podzilla2
- Desktop Applications - applications for your desktop that assist with use of iPodLinux
- Installers - iPodLinux installers
- Podzilla Modules - modules for podzilla2
- Documentation - documentation for the general use of iPodLinux
- Development - documentation for development of iPodLinux
- Hardware - documentation for the actual iPod hardware
- Serial - documentation related to the Serial Port
- Kernel - documentation for the iPodLinux kernel
- Text Input - documentation related to text input on the iPod
- Hardware - documentation for the actual iPod hardware
- Installation - documentation for the installation of iPodLinux
- Installers - iPodLinux installers
- Kernel - documentation for the iPodLinux kernel

- Tutorials - documentation whose primary content is a tutorial

Other Categories
There are some other categories that are used just for grouping articles with some common property, such as being unsupported or containing off-site links. The articles themselves may not be related to each other in any other way.
- Articles to be merged - articles that will be merged into a more general article at some point
- Defunct - articles that are no longer maintained by anybody
- Game-Stubs - articles that need to be expanded further
- Icons - icons to use on the wiki
- Incomplete - articles whose content is incomplete
- iPod stubs - articles that need to be expanded further
- Mac - articles specifically for using iPodLinux with a Mac
- Offsite - articles containing links to files off-site; these need to be fixed
- Pages to be deleted - articles that will eventually be deleted
- Pages to update - old articles that need to be updated
- Stubs - articles that need to be expanded further
- Unsupported - articles whose content is unsupported by the iPodLinux team
