Serial Connection on G 5.5 and USB-Host?

Hello

I have got an G 5.5. I want to connect this to Serial-Hardware(RS232-GPS-Mouse) . But I have found out that the Kernel doesn't support the RS232 at the 5.5. So I have found out that the RS232 is only suported by Ipod's whith PP5020-CPU. The other CPU(PP5022) seems to differ to the PP5020. Thats bad. Then I have searched for Register-Informations of the PP5022 but i haven't found them. Are they online???

The other option could be the USB-Interface. I have found out that the G 5.5 has a working USB-Driver in the Rockbox-Project. Does this USB supports Host-Device-Mode.(The Ipod as Host). I have also a USB-GPS-Mouse. I think that this will work als a normal RS232-Port. (But i am not sure[Navilock NL-302U]) . What about USB-Host @IpodLinux?. Do the Rockbox-Code works under Linux?

The rockbox folks have a partially working serial driver for iPod videos on their tracker. http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/8624
You'd have to port it.

Rockbox' USB-Driver doesn't deal with USB-OTG (Host-Device-Mode). It's for native UMS (diskmode) in rockbox .
