hey. =)
i'm new here. my name is roxy.
i may sound stupid because i don't know a lot about technology, well just the basics, but as i was reading the threads i was confused with all this linux stuff. i have a pink ipod nano 4GB and i think it is part of the 2nd generation, i'm not sure Confused . i just want to know what i can put in it. videos, games, i don't know. for what i could understand i can't put videos on it because of this chip or code that's inside of the ipod? or is it a key? well the point here is that i want cool stuff to be in my ipod. i just find it boring. well, i hope you guys understood me and hopefully reply me Smile
thanks for your time Wink

*sorry for my english, i hope i sounded reasonable. Spanish is my major language, so yeah.

The ipod nano 2g DOES NOT WORK WITH IPODLINUX! Please search the wiki and forums before posting new threads!

Pink nano is definitely a 2G. To determine your iPod model, see the Generations page.

No. You cannot run own code on this 2G nanos. For more information see:
*Nano2G
*Forum thread about 2nd generation nano
*Forum thread about 6th generation iPods
*Forum thread about current attemps to get something working (Please notice that this doesn't mean anything is going to happen in this millennium (literally).)

The problem is the same on 2nd and 3rd generation nanos and the 6th generation iPod. They have an encrypted firmware which makes it impossible for us to run our own code on them.

If you feel the need for discussion, please do so in one of these 3 forum threads.
