Root Password

When use you a command shell on the iPod, you may be asked to enter the root password. The password in the /etc/passwd file from the userland installation is: default

You may also edit the passwd file and remove the password entirely (empty password). For that, replace the line starting with root by removing the second word in it, like this:

root::0:0:root:/:/bin/sh
