Questions
iPOD 6G (Classic)
You writing: "6 - Will probably never be supported due to encrypted firmware." Firmware was cracked about month ago... So, will this generation will be supported?
- Read carefully and you will see that the firmware was not cracked. So that's a no. -- DataGhost
Mini Generations
How come mini isn't capable of supporting recording hardware-wise? Given the info on Generations, the WM8731 chip is capable of handling recording, right? So is there still hope it's just a software-todo or why would it be a hardware problem (isn't there iTalk for mini?)

- My question is then. If it is hardware where... How can we hack it up to work? As in what wires do I soldier where :--Pokeon 13:51, 30 Aug 2005 (CDT)
Dual boot support
Since the 5.5g can't dual boot right now it seems wise to me to add a new column to the compatibility table: Dual Boot. Might need a new row for 5.5g too if the 5g can dual boot. I'd do it myself but I don't know the full list of dual-boot capable iPods. Triddle 18:39, 28 Dec 2006 (CST)
- All iPod in that list can dual boot. Including the 5.5G iPod. It's the make_fw tool that creates a defunct firmware image. Der Papst
Nano 3G
So, I just got a 3G 4GB Nano for Christmas, and I'm wondering why it can't support your wonderful modification. Help is apreciated(sp) UselessUserThatAsksQuestions909 22:33, 25 Dec 2007 (CST)
- Because of the same reason why the 2nd generation nano isn't supported. Read more about that here: Nano2G • Der Papst (T|C)
